Eichstatt

Back to Germany and a great little town near Ingolstadt, called Eichstatt

My trusty A3 2.0TDI (mit quattro!). Barreling through the German countryside in sunshine, rain, snow, (and occationally pieces of other cars), on beautifully paved roads... I will miss you when I leave in two weeks. I'm sure your tires, engine and transmission won't miss me though.

Strasbourg, France

Motored to France with Eddy Lee this weekend. It was pissing rain, but we made it. I also taught Eddy to drive a stick shift in 20 minutes in a parking lot next to the Autobahn. He figured out first gear in the parking lot, and two to six while on the road getting up to 200 km/hr... Anyway, here is the star attraction of Strasbourg: Another massive gothic cathedral.

Mmmm... French chirros

In der Schweiz

This week, I was "sent" to Switzerland by the company for the Geneva Auto Salon. I made a couple days of it, including seeing art school buddy Adrian who lives in Lucerne (he requested not to have his image posted for fear of the gestapo tracking him down--weirdo). We also saw Zurich on this trip (pictured above) .

This is one view from Mt. Rigi, near Lucerne. We did a day-hike around this area. This place has postcard-perfect scenery everywhere; Good cheese too.

The Geneva Auto Salon. Holy crap is it big. This is one of the six halls.

Regensburg

Back in Germany. I met up with Swiss David for a day trip to this very nice town.

Kitzbuehel

The Banff or Lake Tahoe of Austria. Usually this area should be under a ton of snow, except for this extremely mild winter. Way to go, global warming.

Salzburg, Austria

This weekend, I motored to Austria. Salzburg was my destination. It's a medium-sized city situated at the foot of the Austrian Alps. It is also famous for being the home of Mozart.
A statue at a villa in town

Mozart's place of birth, now a typical tourist attraction. You can buy Mozart chocolate, Mozart cups, Mozart liqueur, Mozart match books... (you get the idea).
